~Autumn

There it is, the view out my back slider door. You can't see the houses on the other side of the field because of big fluffy snowflakes. Not that you can see much of the houses anyway - it's mostly just their roof tops. But I'm tired of snow. So So incredibly tired. The snowfall totals in this area this February have been more than twice the average. Now, had my parents still had their snowmobiles, they'd have come in handy!

I'm pretty sure the snow is the reason for my laziness. I hate dragging the kids around in the snow. The slosh, the mess, the salt on the van. So, I've been bunked down here for awhile. I managed to keep my library books over by 4 or 5 weeks. (Stupidity on my part for not just calling and renewing.) And when I finally get there, the superb list that This Guy suggested for me, I left at home. Couldn't remember a darn thing on the list. So I picked up a Stephen King book I'd never read and the book "Chocolat". So we'll see where this gets me. Note to self: Call and renew the books when their due anyway until I can get them returned!

I haven't gotten my paperwork turned in to take boards yet either. A few of my classmates that graduated in December have taken boards and passed. Granted I finished up my work late... But It still takes a few weeks for this paperwork to be processed. And this paperwork is complicated with notaries, money orders, pictures. It's a pain.

But I think I'm finally enjoying my time at home. We replaced some furniture. We had it all cleaned up (at one point). We have a routine down. I'm realizing that I'll probably only work part time when I finally get to work. There's so much going on with the kids that I'll miss if I'm working all the time. And I'm not sure how much I can entrust to Mikey when he's home on a daily basis (Go to the comments link in THIS post). And I kinda like my kids. I'll admit it.

So for now I'm stuck in an Ice/snow/wanna-sleep-all-winter-like-a-bear RUT.

Yes, I'm sick of the snow, too. We're supposed to get 6-9" more inches tonight and into Saturday. Sucks for me but good for my brother who plows in the winter for some of his landscaping customers.

Thanks for the shout out on the list that I gave you. Don't worry, the books I suggested will probably be there the next time you venture out to the library.

The boards for your RN license are tough. At least they were in NH when my ex took them in 1994. She sweated taking them for weeks - but she passed on the first try.

    Have a great weekend!

I don't know if I've told you, Autumn, but snow *SUCKS* big time lol.
We got 8 inches of the darn stuff from Friday night to Saturday morning. Even after temps hit in the mid 60's yesterday March 3), there's still a good bit left.
    I can't wait till Spring!

G: They haven't made Nursing Boards any easier, I'll tell ya that much! But, they've been giving us tests in "board" style for years. Hopefully that will have helped some.

DB: We got up into the 60's yesterday too, and all of our snow melted. Now everything is super super wet and muddy and it's supposed to rain all day with (yet another) snow system behind it. We better have a darn pretty spring with all this water!

we haven't even really gotten any snow in the city. when it does, it's usually gone within a few hours. as spring approaches, i'm sitting here trying to figure out where winter went.
