So it has been 9 days since Mikey hit the road. He officially is back in the swing of things, thank goodness. His last paycheck from his last job was the last week in May and we have not had an income since then, saved only by the 401k we cashed in.



We were running really thin. Like, using fake butter and eating hot dogs and Mac n' cheese everyday for lunch thin. Not to mention the Crap-van is acting up, and now you have to keep your foot on the gas pedal at all times. I realize I should probably make a date with a mechanic and put out as soon as possible. (Did I just say that?!?!) *sigh* Times are tough.

However, I managed to set us up well enough that we wouldn't need to pay any bills, we'd just need money for groceries. And it worked pretty well....

UNTIL...

We got a surprise check in the mail for nearly $500 from his old company. I am NOT complaining! One bit! Today I took it to the bank and spent more than $50 on groceries. REAL BUTTER BABY!

So, I've been back in "Lone adult of the house" mode and sitting around on my fat butt. Hey! It's what I'm good at! I may just take some of that money we got and apply it to taking my boards. Hey! There's an idea! We'll see what happens, I WILL have to pay rent next month, and I hate turning it in late - $50 is a steep fine. It's a week worth of fake groceries!

I Love this man. He's currently touring with the other idols. Reviews of the shows have been mixed, but I guess it all depends on which sucker gets to cover the show and if they are a fan or not. Either way, DC has been flying back and forth between shows to work on his album that is due sometime in November. I will be a happy girl come November!! I will tell you that!!

Okay, now go enjoy that lovely face. I know I will be!
