I'm very slowly weaning off my David Cook addiction. Although it's the most difficult thing because he's everywhere! Just when I think he has no more tv appearances, there he is somewhere else. And I can't help but look. I'm blaming my computer for automatically searching. I think it has a crush too. *Sigh*

I suppose it's ironically funny, or someone is punishing me for ignoring my husband - but the day Cook was crowned, Mikey was fired from his job. That's right, fired. He really is the unluckiest of men, I'm convinced. He was told that all these minor infractions he's had equalled termination, but in no time in the last 6 months was he told "Mess up one more time and we'll have to terminate you". Not that it really matters, he's been looking for another job for a while. It's been mass exodus out of the company for ages as the owner passed away last year and the inheritants obviously have other plans.

But it leaves us in a spot. I'm not offically an RN yet, and the money I needed to get that ball rolling may have to go to rent to keep a roof above our heads. *sigh* He's looking for a job, but he tends to not present himself in the best light when talking with recruiters and writing out applications. So we'll see what happens.

He's also been home driving me absolutely crazy. Our computer is right in the living room and he hovers when I'm trying to do anything. Not that I have anything to hide, but it bothers the crap out of me! Like right now, I feel comfortable enough to write because he's napping on the couch. Seriously, I'm about to move the computer or turn the desk around. Sorry for the mini-rant, but I feel better now. Thanks.

I hope everyone in blogger land is looking forward to the summer fun and keep their jobs. ((Hugs))

I found me a right nice guitar! My dad recently took up a string instrument and has been taking lessons from "the man" in the area to take lessons from. He also has a shop, so Dad took me down there and got me fitted with a nice guitar for a decent price. In fact, I LOVE my new guitar! It's 10x easier for me to play and sounds fantastic. It's an acousic electric, so I can plug it in and be LOUDER if I want, plus it has a built in tuner (the coolest thing since sliced bread IMO).

I've found some great resources online, and I have a few books. Little by little I'm going to teach myself how to play the darned thing. And if I get completely lost or hit a road block "the guitar man" will be there to give me a lesson or two.

Here it is... My new baby, minus the spoon feedings!

I've been having trouble coming up with something to post about. I usually go look at my blog before tooling with it, or writing up another blog. Lately, I've been coming to my blog, looking at all the steamy men, and all coherent thought leaves my head. It's tragic really.

But tomorrow's my birthday, and I'm determined to have a good day. We'll be getting a cake for both me and the baby since her birthday is on Monday. I can't decide what to get her, she'll be turning 2, and she'd rather play with toys designed for 4 & 5 year olds. I can't decide if getting toys for her with CHOKING HAZARD plastered all over them would make me a bad mom. :P However, I've decided what I want for my birthday!

A few months ago, my dad bought a guitar second hand and I've been tinkering with it for a while. I'd really like a new guitar, a little higher quality with a thinner fret board for my short stubby fingers LOL. I finally decided that for my birthday I would make the investment in both time and money. I'm not really sure what kind of goal I'm working toward, but another musical outlet for me is not a bad thing! :D
