Yeah I know... it's been a while. Don't give me flack about it.

I've found a creative outlet and it's busting my ass. Surprisingly enough it isn't my guitar, which I'm still having tons of fun with and I'm making good progress. I found a fountain of something to actually write about! I've written nearly 100,000 words to a story I've been working on, and I'm no where near finished. I'm a complete wannabe, but the cool thing is that I've found a forum for my work and other wannabe writers and we revel in each other's mediocrity. It's actually quite fulfilling and I'm thankful for the outlet. 2 weeks gets pretty long without Mikey here and it just might get worse if I can't find something like a job to fill my time once the kids get back to school next week.

What good would a post be with out a rant??

So here it is...
The school lists are ridiculous. I understand that with raising energy prices and lowering budgets have the schools in a funk. I get it. But do I really need to bring in Tissues and Clorox wipes and hand sanitizer and baby wipes AND ziplock bags? I mean really... The actual school supplies like pencils and markers and scissors don't even cost a 1/4th of what the previous said items cost. *sigh* In two more years I'll have all three kids to buy for. On a good note though, we got my lovely diamond ring inspected and ventured over to the Disney store (I swear we only go to the mall if we absolutely have to) But we found an awesome deal on bookbags for the kids. I got two Character bookbags with matching lunch boxes for 30 bucks. I bought just a generic bookbag for the big kid last year for $15 alone! So I was happy about that.

Let's drink to the return of Fall, Football, the maddening Christmas season and hopefully some potty training! (Not for me you sickos!) CHEERS!
